hyperCAD®-S Solids

The hyperCAD®-S Solids module allows all solids to be reliably imported, created, converted, modified and combined. When work is carried out in the CAD system, chamfers and fillets are recognized directly as features. The available features and functions help the CAM programmer work with faces and solids more productively and flexibly. hyperCAD®-S Solids makes working with solids noticeably easier and much more intuitive.

Efficient Solid Modelling

Module features

Reliable import of external data

When external data is imported, it is handled in the same way as native CAD data. All construction data, such as sketches, curves, single parts or assemblies, structures, names, colors, layers and workplanes are transferred and can be modified, if required.

Numerous standard features

Basic structures, linear extrusions, rotational solids, linear and rotation slots, pockets, simple and complex holes, patterns, chamfers and fillets can all be created.

Time-saving zone feature

The zone feature allows user-specific features to be created. Zones can be transformed, copied, deleted and also selected with hyperMILL® CAM software.

Creating solids from faces

A CAM programmer can create solids from closed face formations with just a few clicks. The process can also be reversed just as quickly.

Working conveniently with features

Features that have been created without parametrics can still be modified. They are stored in a model tree for easy selection. Features can be copied or moved using drag-and-drop operations, to reposition holes for example. After direct modeling, the shape is re-calculated automatically by the system.

A wide range of functions are available for processing features: Delete, mirror, arrange as pattern, offset, move, scale and break.

Reliable feature recognition

Fillet and chamfer features of imported faces are easily recognized and created automatically. The parameters of these features can then be modified.
