Quick Preparation of Polygon Meshes
The main task of the CAM programmer is to prepare meshes in such a way that a perfect basis for milling is created very quickly. To achieve optimal milling results, any mesh deviations must be repaired immediately. It may also be necessary to perform metrological analyses and checks. hyperMILL® CAD Mesh provides the CAM programmer with numerous functions to help them conveniently prepare meshes for milling.
Module features
Smooth meshes
This function removes mesh elements that deviate greatly from a series of measurements.
Decimate meshes
This function allows the mesh density to be reduced while retaining the geometry properties. The reduced data volume improves the model calculation.
Fill mesh areas
This provides a simple and convenient way to close holes in meshes.
Separate mesh clusters
This function makes it possible to delete triangles that are not connected.
Mesh from faces
A mesh can be generated from faces, open or closed solids.
Split meshes
Mesh elements can be split using a planar entity. All of the cut triangles are regenerated to ensure that a smooth cut is achieved.
